This past weekend, we set up shop at the 40th Annual Walk for Animals in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Check out what Blue Dog Bakery Brand Ambassador, Lindsay Peterson, had to say about the event!

"There were more than eight thousand people who came to the 40th Annual Walk for Animals Saturday, May 3 for the Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley, Minnesota.

We saw dogs, cats, bunnies, and even a goat and a ferret! Everyone who came was having a good time; some people even dressed their dogs in costume or were holding their furry friends in carriers, strollers, and wagons. This cute little guy was pretty in pink for the Walk, wearing a tutu...

This fun couple said it was their twenty-sixth time coming to the Walk. They dressed their two dogs as police officers complete with badges and handcuffs and the couple wore inmate costumes...

The event went from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and included a 2.5 mile route for animal owners to walk, a live performance from a special anniversary band, a Flea-less Market of vendors handing out free samples of product, food and beverages available for purchase, games for your dog and training tips, face and hair painting and even pet microchip and nail trims.

The Blue Dog Bakery booth was a hit for all dog owners; those who already heard of the Blue Dog Bakery brand, some who had previously purchased Blue Dog Bakery treats, and several who were excited to learn more about our products. The bright blue table and our yellow shirts were hard to miss on the street of vendors.

The top 3 reasons why dog owners said they would choose Blue Dog Bakery treats were:

  • Blue Dog Bakery treats are made in the USA with USA sourced ingredients.
  • Blue Dog Bakery treats are made without animal by-products.
  • Blue Dog Bakery treats are all natural, low in fat and healthy for their dog.

The Animal Humane Society is a leading animal welfare organization in the upper Midwest, committed to serving local communities of people and animals. The mission of the Animal Humane Society is to engage the hearts, hands, and minds of the community to help animals throught these core values:

  • Be good to animals
  • Partner with people
  • Lead responsibility with compassion

We hope to see you all at next year's 41st Annual Walk for Animals event in Minnesota!"
