Dogs We Love
| Bolton "My name is Bolton and I am a canine entrepreneur with my very own business, named, Bolton and Friends Pet Care and I enjoy telling all my friends and clients about your deeeeee-lishish products. I recommend them because of all the care you folks take to make sure that these products are made with only the very best, healthy ingredients for me and my furry friends. They are the only treats that I eat. Here is a photo I me on the day the Blue Dog Bakery special delivery arrived at my home. I was soooo excited. And then so disappointed that my "Mom" didn't leave me the entire box of treats after taking my photo." - Bolton |

| Champ Knoxville, TN "This champ, an Aussie mix. We rescued him from the shelter 7 years ago. He is an awsome dog. Very smart too. One of his favorite sayings is nite, nite. When he hears 'do you want to go nite, nite?' he grabs a toy and carries it to his bed upstairs. Sometimes he goes to bed before the rest of the family. He loves going on car rides especially when we take him and his little sister Cinnamon a golden retreiver to the doggie park." - Monica |
| Bridgette Woonsocket, RI "This is Bridgette. She is a 9yr old australian cattle dog. I adopted Bridgette 5 yrs ago from one of the local animal shelters. Her story is that she was a very abused puppy mill. It took many months for Bridgette to trust people, but in time she finally did. I adopted Bridgette after my 9yr old shepard husky mix passed away. I waited all of 24 hours before going to look at another dog. My house was too quiet. Bridgette has been a wonderful addition to my family. She absolutly loves Blue Dog cookies." - Cathy |
| Abbey "Abbey is a 3 year old Pomeranian from Sebastian Fl. She is our rescue dog. When Abbey first came to us she was afraid of everything. She had severe fear issues from her previous life. In my many ways to get her to respond, I would give her a 'cookie' and she would turn away. I got a box of Blue Dog Bakery peanut butter cookies for her to try. It was a miracle, she smelled the cookie and licked it, then carried it around for a bit like a prize before she ate it. If a dog can get a WOW look on their face, well that's what she did. These are her all time favorite now. Abbey has come a long way and her Blue Dog Bakery 'cookies' are permanently on our shopping list. She even shares them with her friends who are just as crazy about them. She is officially 'out of her shell' now and starting to enjoy life like she deserves." - Susanna & Phil |
| Maggie Fair Lawn, NJ "Coming to you from Fair Lawn is Maggie, the Weimaraner mix who is 5 1/2 years old. Maggie is special because Weimaraners were bred back in Germany to hunt and retrieve birds from the water, but Maggie hates to get wet, even though she has webbed feet for swimming. Maggie loves to bathe in the sun coming through the window of our living room, and curl up on her couch wrapped in her blanket. Her favorite treats are Blue Dog Bakery biscuits.. After her evening walk, she will run into the house, waiting for her Blue Dog Bakery biscuit!" - Madelyn & Dave |
| Lola Auburn, WA Meet Lola from Auburn, WA! She is a 2 year old chihuahua mix we rescued from a shelter almost a year ago. Lola loves to play and protects her toys by blocking your hand with her back legs. She cuddles on the coach, loves walks and can get enough Blue Dog treats! She is our fist dog and we cannot imagine life without her." - Lynn & Jason |
| Clover Oswego, KS "This is Clover. She was found outside my house one early morning. Sick, starving and scared, the little angel just cried an cried when I picked her up. Unfortunately I could not have another dog, 3 was my max. Needless to say, 4 trips to the vet and many meals later, Clover Anne is home! I truely believe she rescued us, not the other way around." - Megan |
| Cisco Springfield, OR "'Blue Dog treat, please'……Cisco - a Corgi mix rescue we adopted 10 years ago. Every evening, he has a “lap reservation” with me in my big chair. He can be picky with his food, even food he usually loves. Finding the right treats was a hunt! Because of Cisco and his “love at first bite” of Blue Dog Biscuits, we get regular shipments. Cisco will go to their cupboard and scratch to get my attention - then I get “the look” and the excitement of anticipation – of course, he gets his furry housemates joining in – peanut butter and molasses are his favorites." - Marilee |
| Benny Long Beach, NY "May I ask what the "H" you put in the biscuits? Benny, my 2 year old Chihuahua goes nuts when I give him a BDB biscuit! He takes it and protects it like a its worth a million dollars. Then when he is ready he will devour it in 2 seconds. A little yappy like all Chihuahuas but a beloved pet nonetheless. Benny was rescued from a New York City kill shelter and is a wonderful addition to our family. Any time he attends a dog function, such as a Halloween party or Christmas party he always wins the cutest dog prizes. It seems his only problem is his insane love for Blue Dog biscuits." - Phil |
| Riley Chapel Hill, NC "Here is a pic of Riley from the last leg of our cross-country road trip, Little Rock, AR to Chapel Hill, NC." -Lisa |
| Stanely Claremont, NH "Stanely is about 5 years old. We were told he is a mix of Irish Wolfhound and Heinz. We adopted him November 2, 2009 from an animal in North Strafford, NH. He is a real peoples dog; very loving and gentle. He is very smart and knows exactly when it's time to go for a car ride. He loves to ride in the car, play ball and walks on the park trail. He is and will always be a true blessing to our family." - Deb |
| Farfel West Orange, NJ "Last week we had to euthanize our beloved Farfel hound with end stage liver cancer. But I want you to know that two nights before the end, my husband ran to the market to buy him his favorite Blue Dog Bakery biscuits, and even though he couldn’t really eat anymore, he chomped down those biscuits with a doggy smile. Thank you for making my sweetie’s last food something delicious that he loved. And he was the very best dog." - Dorene |
| Jacoba Sacramento, CA "Jacoba started life out as a guide dog puppy in training but came back to us when she was dropped from the training program at 22 months old. At the age of 7.5 years, she recently experienced a bout of random pancreatitis and has been placed on a diet of food and treats containing a maximum 10% fat for the rest of her life. I looked all over the pet store and Blue Dog treats were the only ones that fit the bill. Thankfully, she loves them and we’re anxious to try the soft treats for training sessions." -Lacey |
| Abby Harrodsburg, KY "Abby is my eleven year old Black Lab. She is the best dog you can imagine, and incredibly smart. I talk to her just like she was a person and she understands nearly everything I tell her. She will “howl like a wolf” on command, a trick everyone thinks is so cute (photo # 121 above shows her doing that). Blue Dog Peanut Butter & Molasses flavored treats are her favorite snacks for being a “Good Dog”. Recently, our grocery store and Wal Mart stores stopped stocking them for some reason and she has not been very happy. Every time I give her another kind of treat, she looks at me like I’m punishing her. Lucky for me, I found your website and discovered that I can order them on-line! Abby will be so happy with her Mom now!" -Linda |
| Lucky "Lucky was given to me as a gift from my family this past year as a symbol of their love for me. Lucky is a very lovable, friendly, and playful dog . People enjoy playing with him and being around him because he makes then smile and feel so happy. I feel very blessed to have Lucky in my life. Every morning he wakes me up with a kiss and a nudge to let me know that it is time to wake up and when I go to bed each night he cuddles up to me and he kisses me good night letting me know that he loves me. Lucky is a wonderful friend. I feel privileged to have someone in my life like Lucky who means the world to me and who loves me unconditionally. Some of Lucky's favorite things to do are; sleeping on the sofa, running at the park, and eating Blue Dog Bakery Treats!!" -Michael |
| Teddy, Sophie & Jack Bakersfield, CA "Teddy, Sophie and Jack waiting for a Blue Dog Bakery PB & molasses cookie. Their favorite! Jack, the 10 year old black Miniature poodle was adopted from the local SPCA when he was about 5 and is a complete momma's boy. I think he loves me almost as much as I love him! Sophie was adopted a month later from a shelter in a town not far from us. She is certainly the bossy one in the bunch, but can be a love bug when she wants to. Teddy is the labradoodle that was found wondering in farm fields south of our town. We saw him at the groomers and we were lucky enough take him home after the people that found him could not keep him. All three have added so much joy to our lives." -Cathi |

| Rocket Potterville, MI "Rocket says, 'I am the cutest dog on the block. Just ask the cat! And it doesn't get any better then Blue Dog Bakery. How do you think they got me to pose with the cat. He thinks he's cute too and loves Blue Dog treats. Sometimes I have to share. I love Thursdays when I get to go to Doggy Day Care in Lansing, MI and get 9 hours of the most fun with my buddy's. Life has been so good since I was rescued from the shelter. It doesn't get any better then this... except for the cat who thinks I am the cutest dog in the world. Awwwww manybe I will just keep him. He's not so bad.'" -Janet & Cris |

| Grover Santa Ana, CA "This is Grover, he's a 1 1/2 year old chihuahua mix that I rescued from the Orange County Animal Shelter in March.. His older brother (a 13 year old Rottie named Toby) has been eating Blue Dog Bakery treats for years...& when I got Grover it was hard to find tiny treats for him...when i did, he would turn his nose up at them because they weren't as good as the crumbs he found on the floor after Toby ate his cookies......thank goodness I found the smaller version of the Blue dog Bakery treats.....it's all he will eat!! Thanks for keeping both my dogs happy during "cookie time" ;)" -Kristen |

His cute floppy ear was just too much to resist. He loves trips to the dog park, taking long walks, and playing with his favorite toy, “Bull”. His favorite reward for being such a good boy is a Blue Dog Bakery PB & Molasses treat. Luke has been a great addition to our home and is just what our family needed. Although, the cats may disagree, they are even starting to warm to his charms." -Philip |
| Gabby Lake Stevens, WA "In February 2009, after a series of gut wrenching vet visits, I had to let, Gibson, best canine friend of 9 years go. He had cancer. I was sincerely heartbroken. A month later I found Gabby and she bore a striking resemblance to Gibson. I drove across the WA state, 5 hours one way, just to get her from the shelter. Gabby came into my life when I needed her the most, and I will always be thankful for that." -Carli |
| Remo West Cornwall, CT "Remo is a Rotti rescue from NERR&R. We went through a long process to bring him home and would do it all over again. He is our little boy in long fur pants! Remo is a long hair Rotti with a full tail. He has spent his last 8 years in West Cornwall, CT. with his best cat buds Jasper and Chai. Remo is amazingly smart and knows all the names of his toys. He is our kid. And of course Remo is a huge fan of the Blue Dog....as are his parents." -Lori |
| Daisy Bensalem, PA "As you can see I am blessed with a beautiful Golden, named Daisy. She is 2 years old and celebrates her birthday on Valentines Day (how appropriate!) as she is the sweetest and most loving dog in the world to us. Daisy has been a Blue Dog Bakery Fan since she was a pup. She has a very sensitive stomach and Small Snacks served her well as a puppy treat. At the tender age of 22 months we received the devastating news that Daisy had cancer. Now, this usually has a 90% mortality rate in young dogs. Blue Dog Bakery came to the rescue when her gums became sore from the chemo so we switched from the Low Fat Dog Treats that she loved to the softer Doggie Paws that were a great replacement during this time. The wonderful outcome here is that Daisy is now 1 year cancer free!! Thank you Blue Dog Bakery!" -Debbie |
| Ronnie & Bitzer Northfield, VT "Ronnie is a 9 year-old tri-colored Border Collie. Bitzer is the 8 year-old Australian Shepherd in “Border Collie clothing”. We let Bitzer go in November after a year long battle with lymphoma. We miss him so much. Even at his sickest he was still a goofy, happy, funny dog. Even when he didn’t really want to eat, he still wanted his cookies, and he especially liked the ones shaped like chickens and forbidden couches! We are all remembering him at his best, like in this picture playing in the Vermont snow last winter!" -Jennifer & David |
| Willow Horsham, PA "Our girl Willow is our special baby. She is a rescued dog, through our group, Delaware Valley Siberian Husky Rescue. Willow, her brother Dallas, and her mom, Sheba, were three of over 20 dogs rescued from a neglect situation. A local Humane Society and the Department of Environmental Resources shut down a hoarder who left the dogs for days at a time.Willow was a small pup when she ad her family were taken in by our group. We decided to keep her after we learned that she had serious cardiac problems - aortic stenosis, aortic aneurism, and a septal wall defect of the heart. We were told by her doggy cardiologist that she might not live longer than a few years. Willow is now four. She still has those cardiac problems, but she loves to attend a fun obedience/ agility class on Wednesday night, and go over the A-frame, dog walk, teeter-totter and other apparatus." -Chuck & Louise |

| Quincy Rochester Hills, MI "Quincy and I have a very special bond, and frankly I could not imagine him leaving me. About a week after I received Quincy to raise I was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 15. He grew up by my side through that battle. He was there for me to cry in his fur, there to distract me from lifes realities, and was even at my first radiation appointment. He is almost 3 now and we are still busy loving life! He is a certified therapy dog and we visit couple of hospitals every month, including the childrens hospital where I was diagnosed and treated. He is a four-footed angel. We also compete and train in flyball, agility, obedience, and dock diving, where he has a personal best jump of over 21 feet! Since he is so important in my life his health is of utmost importance. He eats only the best, and Blue Dog biscuits fit the criteria! Since he is a lab/golden mix, he'll eat next to anything so I'm happy to give him something I know is good for him." -Kayla |

| Rou & Beans Ashland, OR "I want to thank you so much for your very kind donation to Rogue Canine Agility's trial over the Halloween weekend. We had your individual packages in a large orange pumpkin as "Welcome" treats when the exhibitors checked in each day. There were only three packages left, and I brought them home. This picture is the result of the yummy little tidbits! Rou and her brother, Beans, don't need any words to express their delight." - Mary Beth |
| Sissy May Farmington, NM "Sissy May, mama's little Princess, is a German Shorthair Pointer and was adopted through a rescue in Colorado. We brought her home to meet her big brother, Buzzard Jay (lab) and they hit it off immediately. My little Mini Go (nicknamed because of her tail) knew she had found her forever home and ate for three weeks straight, putting on the weight she needed. Sissy May has grown into a loving, wonderful, dedicated and hard working baby girl. There are no boundaries when it comes to play time...I have to stop play nightly; typical of her breed. My baby girl loves visiting the basement where there are "hoards" of Blue Dog treats stashed for a rainy day...the nose of a pointer...straight into the air TO FIND. Sissy is Mama's Little Princess and will be forever." - Laurie |
| Nikko Advance, NC "Nikko is a German Shepherd and an energetic one at that. Only a year old, he really is just a puppy in a large dog’s body. When we went to pick up him up, he was just perfect and we knew we had found the dog for us. He is currently considered the ‘grand-dog son” by our parents and brings a smile to everyone who gets to know him by displaying that goofy puppy affection he has. As you can see in his photograph, he also has the ability to lighten up a party. Eating is one of Nikko’s best talents and when we bring out the Blue Dog Treats, he turns around and goes to his spot and awaits his prize. He is certainly like a kid in an ice cream shop when it comes to your treats. Thank you for making such a wonderful product and we look forward to rewarding Nikko with them for years to come!" - Rob & Erica |

| Sam Surprise, AZ "Meet Sam, a loveable Golden Retriever. Sam was rescued from the pound by the Foundation for Service Dog Support, Inc. (FSDS) in December 2008, and accepted into their youth based service dog training program. Sam is now being trained to become the first court dog in the history of Arizona, and was recently named the winner of the 2009 Pet Hero Award for Community Service. As a part of his training, Sam has been completing an internship at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office to comfort crime victims, including abused children, who must testify. We trained for Obedience Trials but an injury to his shoulder cut that career short so now he's a semi-retired, almost-obedience champion. Bug likes to chase squirrels and rabbits in his spare time as well as making everyone laugh with his crazy Beagle antics. Bug bays for Blue Dog Bakery Softies, he says, "They're not a cookie mother, they're a little slice of Peanut Butter Heaven!" They smell so good coming out of the box, I've even thought about trying one." -Danielle |

| Sergeant Pepper Wilmington, DE "This is Sgt. Pepper. The Sarge as we call him, was rescued from a Baltimore shelter last year at age 11. We were fostering him but decided we could not let him go and so he joined our pack our 3 other big black dogs. Pepper loves to go for long walks, lounge in the sun on the patio, chase the cats (although much less than when he first joined our family) and stick like velcro to his human daddy. He also loves his Blue Dog Bakery treats. They, along with regular healthy meals and lots of love, have turned The Sarge from a skinny, dull-coated, sad, fearful dog into the happy, healthy beauty you see here." -Jennifer |

| Dakota & Jake Owasso, OK "This is Dakota (black lab/husky mix) and Jake (yellow lab/greyhound mix). We actually have 3 dogs (Shelly is a full blood husky and mom to Dakota) that will not eat any treats other than your Peanut Butter & Molasses cookies. I can take them to PetsMart for grooming or to Southern Ag to get their shots or to the vets. . .everyone tries to give them a cookie, which they kindly accept and then put on the floor and leave without. But you open their cookie jar when they come in from outside and all 3 of them sit until you give them their Peanut Butter & Molasses cookie and then try to eat any crumbs the others may have left. The only thing they love more is the grandkids!!!" -Rose |
| Zenith New Castle, DE "Zenith is a beautiful five year old rescue. He was returned to the Humane Association four times before my daughter and I adopted him last year. Lots of time and love (and Blue Dog Bakery treats) have helped him overcome many of his fears. No longer running away from men or ducking his head when someone tries to pet him, he walks with confidence and is always the first to arrive when the Blue Dog Bakery treats come out. Smile Zenith. Blue Dog Bakery makes your favorite flavor... 'Cheese!'" -Sharon |
| Zara New Castle, DE "'Who wants a 'Blue Dog” treat?' Zara is a sweet twelve week old rescue pup that lives with two other rescue dogs. She loves running and playing with her big brother and sister and visiting Grandma and Pop Pop’s house. During the first week with her human mom and sister, she was given a “Blue Dog” treat at bedtime with the other dogs. |
| Zadie New Castle, DE "Zadie is an eighteen month old rescue that was born feral with a vision impaired eye. When I met her at her foster home, she was so afraid of new people that wouldn’t come near. Within a week of coming to our house, she became a great addition to the family. Her fear of people, paired with a boundless energy supply was a challenge. We began dog scootering with her in the spring and her confidence rose immediately and the fears began to subside. Zadie and her canine siblings love their Blue Dog Bakery treats." -Sharon |
| Solan Dallas, TX "This is my baby Solan and he is eleven years old. Solan LOVES his Blue Dog cookies. | PJ Puppy Anaheim, CA "PJ Puppy is special in that, due to her delightful ears she looks like the Flying Nun, Sister Bertrill, or during Christmas time she looks like a little reindeer. |
| Buzzard Jay Farmington, NM "Buzzard Jay came home at seven weeks and while sitting on my lap in the truck, I gave him a hug, kiss and groan. The "groan" became instilled in him and he gives the sunshine, that he brought me that evening, back daily. Buzz, now 6 1/2, has the most awesome personality. Our vet recently told him that he has the heart of a great athlete and that he does! He is very active (swimming, soccer and bird chasing anyone?). Buzzie loves and trusts his family first. My GooBear is a typical Lab and doesn't warm up to "new" humans quickly and guards "his" territory until Mama says, it's pretty. He is the most faithful, stubborn and "pouty" boy I have ever had the pleasure of saving. " -Laurie |

| Princess (left) & Slattie (below) Plainfield, NJ “After reading “Foods Dogs Die For….” I began cooking not only Princess Catherine’s and Red Slattie’s main meals but also their snacks. As a result, I witnessed them getting healthier and healthier! One day I came across Blue Dog Bakery, read the ingredients and decided to give it a try. They absolutely loved them and there was no change in their health. Now, they can’t wait for their Blue Dog treats!! I can actually use them to bribe them to come inside the house when they are being stubborn like typical Cairn Terriers. Actually, I think they like them better than the homemade oatmeal cookies I make for them… I’m a little jealous!” -CB |

| Mollie Cortlandt Manor, NY "Mollie, age 10, was adopted from a Corgi rescue, 5 years ago, on Valentine's Day. She is "big sister" to Roscoe, our cat, and is quick to discipline when he scratches the carpet! Other than that, they get along as well as most brothers and sisters." - Carolyn |
| Remo West Cornwall, CT "Remo is a wonderful rescue dog from North East Rottweiler Rescue. He's really well trained, but would love to get into trouble by sneaking a Blue Dog Cookie when we're not looking!" - Lori |

| Zeus & Lexi Clover, SC "Our 2 dobermans, Zeus & Lexie, go CRAZY for your treats!! We bought a plastic swimming pool for them, but they refused to go near the water...that is, not until we pulled out some Blue Dog treats. They hopped in the water right away for the treats. Thanks for such a great product!' -Edwina |

| Reno, Rusty, Ruby & Nikki Riverside, CA "I purchased your dog cookies at Costco. My dogs love them! I was reading the label, and noticed that all the ingredients are wholesome and natural. I thought they smelled really good, so I took a bite. I said to my husband "Wow, you gotta try this!" so I handed him a bite, and we both agree they are really great tasting! (we shared one!) No wonder my dogs love them." -Sunshine |

| Joy Morris, NY "In January of this year I was adopted by Joy. The best guess is that she's a mix of Jack Russell & Border Collie. She appeared on my Upstate NY porch during a snow storm, apparently "thrown away" by an inhumane human, as an ad in the newspaper and calls to local vets had no results. I've been diagnosed with emphysema and no longer have the energy to do things to the extent that I was able to. Occasionally I'm up to the task of baking a small batch of homemade treats, but not often. Being very picky about what my furry family eats, I was thrilled to find your product. The best part is that I recognize and can pronounce every one of the listed ingredients. The fact that they are low in fat and calories is a bonus! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!" -Cheryl |
| Emma, Robbie, and Spencer “You make a great product. My dogs are very happy consumers of your treats - I like the small size of some of them but keep a variety around to keep them all happy. The treats smell good enough for me to eat but Emma, Robbie and Spencer would never go along with that - I especially like the low calorie ones. You have also been most generous in your donations to the Ohio Corgi picnic and people just love giving their corgis Blue Dog Bakery treats. I know several of them now order regularly through amazon.com - like I do. Thanks for making such a great product.” –Evelyn |

She will do just about anything for one of them and knows the sound of the treat jar opening. She promptly snaps to attention and patiently sits for her treat.” – Doreen |

| Buddy Waldorf, MD “Buddy was our little gray poodle. The vet told my husband and me that he was six or seven years old when we rescued him. Our daughter had taken her dog Eddie for a walk, and Buddy followed her home. He was in such bad condition, she thought at first he was a refugee from a recent tornado that had hit the area. But he was just very neglected, and whoever had him didn't care enough to keep him in their yard or on a leash. We had him cleaned up and seen by a vet the same day. Under all that matted fur was a sick little dog with ingrown stitches in his face and ear. He looked like he had been torn up by another dog but apparently never taken back to the vet to have the stitches removed, nor was he wearing a collar or tags. We nursed him back to health and had him with us for seven and a half years. He was a great little guy and we were so sad when he died in March of this year. He was much loved and gave us great joy while he was with my husband and me.” –Barbara & Bill |
