Our Ingredients

Annatto – A natural coloring with a slight pepper flavor – it gives our treats a hint of color without any additives.  It is produced from the pulp that surrounds the seeds of the achiote, sometimes called the lipstick-tree.  

Baking Soda – A common baking ingredient used to help dough rise.

Barley Flour – Made from whole barley grains, barley flour is full of flavor and low in gluten.

Blackstrap Molasses – A good source of calcium, magnesium, potassium, and iron, blackstrap molasses also provides a characteristic robust flavor to our treats.

Brewer's Yeast – Packed with B vitamins, amino acids, and minerals.

Cane Molasses – A natural sweetener made by boiling the juices from the sugar cane plant.

Whole Eggs – High in protein, vitamins and minerals, our egg powder also contains the yolk portion, which is rich in vitamins A, D and E. Considered to be a complete source of protein, eggs improve coat shine and promotes healthy skin.

Flaxseed Meal – Rich in Omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, and fiber. It also contains protein, vitamins, and minerals.

Glyecerine – An all-natural vegetable-derived product that keeps our Peanut Butter Softies soft!

Lecithin – A natural emulsifier, which is derived from soybeans.

Non-Fat Milk – Real skim milk with all the healthy stuff that’s good for teeth, skin, and bones.  Milk also helps bake our treats to just the right crunch!

Oats – Packed with fiber, vitamin B, calcium, unsaturated fat and fiber, whole grain oats are a flavorful way to reduce cholesterol, and increase good taste. 

Palm Oil – Derived from the seeds and fruit of the palm plant, palm oils does not contain hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils.

Paprika – Made from dried fruits of the Capsicum annuum varietal, paprika gives our treats a natural light red coloring.

Rolled oats – Rolled oats are steamed and flattened whole grain oat groats. They are an excellent source of iron and dietary fiber. 

Salt – The sodium present in salt is one of the primary electrolytes and is used to regulate a dog's water balance. Salt is also a natural flavor enhancer.

Tumeric – Part of the ginger family, it gives our treats a natural yellow coloring.

Unbleached Wheat Flour – Wholesome and unbleached, our all-natural wheat flour provides our treats with protein, fiber, vitamins and minerals.

Whey – The liquid part of the milk that is separated from the curds during the making of cheese. The whey used in our treats is from cow's milk and is a good souce of protein, vitamins and minerals, including calcium.

Whole Wheat Flour – Contains all parts of the grain including the bran and wheat germ, it is a good source of fiber, minerals and vitamins.
