Blue Dog Bakery Takes its Dog Treats International as the Company Expands Sales into Canada

Company celebrates most successful year with 30% growth

SEATTLE - October 30, 2012Blue Dog Bakery, America’s top selling natural dog treat brand, introduces select items from its line of healthy dog treats to the international canine community as they celebrate new distribution in Canada. 

Since the Seatttle-based company’s launch in 1998, Blue Dog Bakery has experienced tremendous growth within the U.S. market.  Over the past 10 months, grocery sales of Blue Dog Bakery treats have increased by 30%, making it the most successful year of sales in its 14 year history.

As of September 2012, Blue Dog Bakery’s treats have gone international. Dog owners can now purchase Blue Dog Bakery’s top selling dog treats at Walmart locations across Canada.  The company also hopes to expand Canadian distribution to additional retailers including, Target Canada and Canadian Tire, among other pet specialty stores.

This major milestone in Blue Dog Bakery’s history comes during a record setting year in which the company also released new packaging across its entire product line.

As of September 2012 consumers can purchase Blue Dog Bakery’s More Flavors (20 oz.), Doggie Paws (10 oz.), Softies (10 oz.) and Perfect Trainers (6 oz.) at Walmart, Target and Loblaw’s locations throughout Canada.
