"Our JRT, Chip, is a treat snob. He no longer eats other brands of
dog snacks. He loves the new Blue Dog PB Doggie Paws and will
patiently wait near the counter for his favorite bite sized snack. Since
he is so small and can gain weight quickly, we appreciate the size of
the snacks not to mention the cute paw print on the top." — Raymond,
Nina and Chip—Shoreline, WA

“We tried so many different dog biscuits on our quite spoiled
Border Collie, Chip. The none day I found your product. I brought
them home to him and he loved them! He wanted to eat the WHOLE
box! So your dog biscuits are a big hit in our home.”
—Jon and Rhonda,
Deltona, FL

In 1992, when my son was 7, we adopted this lovely purebred 15” beagle from the Humane Society at 3pm one rainy Sunday afternoon. This was her “last day” to be adopted.... Sally was the name they had given her. When we got home she would not leave my side and so my son decided Shadow was a much more fitting name.

This beautiful and sweet dog had had a litter, had been spayed, but being the wanderers that they are, had either wandered off too far or been let loose after too many retrievals. No one had claimed her – were we lucky!

Over the years she did wander off a few times, but it seems our UPS driver was always around to bring her back. One day she left the house only to turn up at our office, 1.5 miles away. Now she had only been to the office once in a car, but she walked down here just the same. How do they do that? Well, she was here about 15 minutes when she realized that there was no dinner to be had here, and suddenly we realized that she had started to walk home again where the food was!

Since 1997 she has been our trusted Blue Dog Bakery taste tester. Every product Blue Dog has ever developed had to pass the Shadow test. She was a very discerning eater and if she liked something, we knew it was good! She loved her Blue Dog treats and in her last days our PB Softies were all that she could eat.

So when you go home tonight, give your favorite friend a good long hug and an extra biscuit from Shadow.

Peace,
Margot

** Her vet thought she was 6 years old when we adopted her, so we celebrate her birthday every year on Valentine’s Day. The oldest dog at our veterinary clinic – 20 years - must be those low fat dog treats! My son turns 21 this fall. He told me last night that Shadow was the last piece of his childhood... perhaps of mine too.
