True Joy
God sent you to us helpless, innocent and full of love
God lent you to us briefly like an angel from above
So small and full of wonder, seeing everything anew
So precious, soft and tender – eyes so bright…. heart so true
You walked into our house and made a home inside our hearts
You made your mark and staked your claim right from the very start
So different and uniquely you, and unlike all the rest
So genuine, steadfast, and true – you were the very best
From the hours spent in playtime, just running like the
wind
To the long walks in your childhood, building memories with a friend
We could not know the impact that your little life would make
No more than we can see the path our fleeting lives will take
The purity within your heart was a wonder to
behold
Your precious ways – throughout all your days – meant more
to us than gold
Your love was unconditional, your heart true to the end
You gave us thirteen years of love – the true meaning of a friend
We love you more than words can say
You’ll always be our precious boy
Your memory is with us every single day
You still fill our heart with True Joy

(December 1994 – June 14, 2007)
TJ was a super-friendly Sheltie who had the heart
of a lion and the disposition of a lamb. Everyone who met him fell in
love with him. He is survived by Niko (wife); Jinz & Jazz (twin daughters).
We loved him intensely and miss him immensely.

This is Thumper...he was born with a liver shunt
and had to have surgery at 4 months to try to correct it. He will never
be a "full sized" (ie 200 pounds) mastiff...but he has a full

My Angel Roc
A Tribute of Honor
It was a Tuesday, the first of May
I ran and ran around all day
When I came home, you looked at me
With eyes so sweet – you needed me
I lifted you up and went outside
Your strength so waned, no longer denied
Then when night began to fall
I knew I had to make the call
My gentle friend, the time had come
To let you go where spirits run
The abundant love you gave through the years
Will forever live on and dry my tears
My angel, you have departed the earth
But peace in my heart for your heavenly rebirth
Healed and free from what held you down
You’re happy, running and playing now
You touched so many with your tender ways
We will ever remember you all of our days
God rest your soul and take great care
Memories precious of the time we shared
And as I walked through the lot nearby
A hawk appeared in the dusky sky
Majestic wings spread, it soared as to say
Have no doubts, I’m alright - we’ll meet up again one day

“Levi is in the red bandana, with his son, Wrangler.
Mollie Mae is the beagle/pit mix rescue (I know, funny combination) in the
gingham. I live on a small farm outside Elgin, Texas. My dogs love to swim
in our tank and play with our horses. When it's time to come in, or get
a snack, they will sit pretty or lie down, for you, as long as they get
something good to eat. I was so amazed by the wonderful smell of your treats
- it reminded me of the molasses cookies my mom used to make when I was
a kid. I will be buying Blue Dog snacks from now on. I'm so glad I found
them.” — Levi, Wrangler, Mollie May
and Cat, Elgin, TX
PS I found the cats even liked them!
“My golden, Stormey, has gone "bonkers"
over your treats. He absolutely loves them and I think he has traded his
pig ears in for good. The lazy one will not get up in the mornings, due
to needing more beauty sleep, until he hears the pantry open...he appears
magically almost instantaneously with those big beautiful brown eyes and
tail wagging. I know he secretly wishes he had thumbs, so he could help
his self. Stormey loves the Blue Dog treats so much, he will stand in
the kitchen barking at us to give him one; or how about this one, he rings
the bell on the back door to let him in, snubs us when we open the door
and walks straight over to the pantry expecting a treat. Some people say
animals aren't smart; they haven't met the master manipulator of Blue
Dog treats. I'm sure he would volunteer to be a professional taster for
you.”— Stormey and Lisa, Collierville,
TN
“My dog 'Jack' loves your cookies. My dog will
not eat just anything. He will actually carry cookies around for days
and give the ones that he does not want to the other dog that lives in
our rental unit. She is a huge dog, that will eat anything. He does throw
the Milkbones at Flick the other dog here. She is about 180 lbs, timber
wolf and shepard mix. Jack loves your peanut butter and molasses cookies.
Thank you.” — Jack and Jennifer, Boulder
Creek, CA
“My name is Million $ Murphy. I am almost 14
years old. This is my napping buddy,

Blue Dog Bakery for making such tasty treats, they are my favorite.”

“Emma knows how to beat the heat of the dog
days of summer by floating around on her raft, which she kindly shares
with the rest of us. (only when she's done with it!) —
Emma and Mary, Hamlin, NY
“On July 31st, the Leona Valley, CA 4-H Racketteers
Dog Project once again sent supplies to Iraq for the soldiers (both 2
and 4 legged). The kids purchased supplies with monies that were earned
at their annual vaccine clinic. They also collected donations from individuals
and companies. The supplies were packed and labeled and then the kids
enjoyed a lunch of Subway sandwiches followed by ice cream cones. This
year, 50 boxes were sent, some of which contained 90 bags of Blue Dog
Peanut Butter & Molasses treats that were very generously donated
by Blue Dog. Thank you for supporting our efforts and supporting our troops.”
—Janice and David, Leona Valley, CA

“Gabe and I are sending our thanks all the
way from Q-West Iraq. All the dogs at Q-West (Gabe, Llewis, Kimberly and
Beny) will enjoy the snacks so generously donated by your company and
sent by the 4-H dog project. We thank you tons and we hope you guys have
a great day.” — SSG Shuck and Gabester
“Here are Chuck and Gabe, some of the recipients
of treats sent over.”
Thanks so much.

“I was looking for some teats for my two pugs
the other day, concerned with all the ingredients that some companies
put in dog food. I took a bag of Blue Dog cookies home and gave them as
a treat and they love it so much that I had to look up your web site suspicious
that it might have something bad or something from China. I feel so much
better now that I looked into your page and will buy more soon. Here I
am sending pictures of my pugs, the one with the pink poncho, Frika female
13 years old, and Canela female 5 years old, she goes crazy with the cookies,
she cries for them or shakes like a leaf in anticipation. Thank you so
much for such a wonderful product and best of all is low fat.” —

Test:
“It may be said with reasonable accuracy that my wife, Bernie, is
an animal lover (current census: 2 dogs, 12 cats, one each horse, donkey,
sheep, two goats, fifteen chickens, nine goldfish, all pets) so keeping
them happy is important to her, and she knows how.
Every morning at feeding time, she goes through a ritual
taste test with the dogs. Each is given the choice of either a Blue Dog
Bakery biscuit in one hand, or another brand in her other hand from those
collected in her relentless pursuit of her pets' pleasure. So far, Blue
Dog is undefeated. Some of the contenders have been so-called gourmet
dog biscuits that cost more than we'd ever have the nerve to spend on
ourselves. No matter: Blue Dog Bakery beat 'em all.
The ritual taste test must stop soon, because your dog
biscuits will be the only ones in the house.”
Mel (short for Melifira) and Molly - both were rescues.
Mel is pretty deaf from ear infections, but somehow divines the opening
of a biscuit box from phenomenal distances (maybe with that tongue, like
a snake). Molly, like all Goldens, is an attention junkie.
Bernie and Alan (distant second to the critters), York Haven,
PA
The cats want to know when the "Blue Cat" biscuits will be along?
"I can't wait for my mom to bring in the groceries.
I always know when she brings home my favorite treats! Two paws up for
