The supplies were packed and labeled and then the kids enjoyed a lunch of Subway sandwiches followed by ice cream cones. Mel (short for Melifira) and Molly - both were rescues. Mel is pretty deaf from ear infections, but somehow divines the opening of a biscuit box from phenomenal distances (maybe with that tongue, like a snake). Molly, like all Goldens, is an attention junkie.
